One of the best things about I Turn Pages is that you're never stuck wondering what to read next, or puzzling over a book on your own. Thousands of fellow readers are here, and most of them love being asked. You will probably be answering lots of questions as well.

What can you ask?

Anything book-related. What to read next, whether a book is worth your time, what others made of an ending, which book in a series to start with, or where to begin with an author you've been meaning to try.

You can ask anything, such as:

  • What should I read next if I loved a particular book or author?
  • Has anyone read this book, and is it worth my time?
  • What did other readers make of that ending, that character, that twist?
  • Which book in a series should I start with?

How to post your question

  • Create a new topic from the Ask the Community page or your community menu.
  • Give your question a clear title. "What should I read after The Night Circus?" works better than "Help needed".
  • Add a little detail in the body. The more the community knows about your taste, the better the answers.
  • Tag your topic with Question under the 'post type.'

  • Also under 'Who For' select For Readers so it appears on the Ask the Reading Community page.

Tips for great questions

A quick tip for the best answers:

  1. Start your post with the question itself, then add any background after it.
  2. One question per post works best, and keeps every conversation easy to follow and quick for readers to view.

A few tips for great answers

  • Mention books you've already read and loved, so people can match your taste.
  • Say what mood you're in. Sometimes you want a comfort read, sometimes a challenge.
  • Reply to the people who answer. A quick thank you keeps the conversation going, and telling them what you picked is even better.

That's all there is to it. Ask away, and happy reading.

PS... if you'd like some question mark images to go with your question, feel free to choose any one of these. Or create your own.
