We're kicking off I Turn Pages with something personal. We want to know what makes you love the genre you write. And you earn vouchers for joining in!
Write a short post telling us:
- What do you love most about writing in your genre?
- What do you think you do differently within it?
- What draws you to it as a reader, too
Deadline to Enter
UPDATE: The deadline was Friday, 24th July at midnight PST but we've had lots of writers asking us to extend this due to the global holiday season.
The new deadline is now the 30th September.
How to post:
- Go to + Add Topic.
- Add a title for your post - be creative with your title!
- Choose blog as the post type and it only needs to be a short blog post.
- Write your post.
- Add an image that shows off your genre.
Under visibility, select the entire community. See this screenshot, where you choose if you want everyone to see your post or just the community.
Note that with the community option, only logged-in community members will see your post. If you want it visible to anyone, select public.
Also note that if you have already set up groups on I Turn Pages, which is freely unlimited to do, don't add your post into a group because then it is only visible within that group.
- Also, add the tag "Genres I Love Writing" (without the quote marks) in the Interests field so we can find it. See the screenshot below. You start writing the words 'Genres I' and the tag comes up in the dropdown selection. If you forget to tag the post with this tag, we won't see it to promote it.
- Select 'inspiration' as the post type and share it to the entire community.
