You know Ulissa from book one in the Aevo Compendium series, ISOLDESSE. Now follow a day in the life of a much younger Ulissa and her sister while learning more about the world they come from in this companion novella. Ulissa lives on Anuminis, where she lives a simple life, and likes living a simple life. She wakes up and goes to school, hangs out with her best friend, Jasper, apprentices in her village's amphitheater, and practices her inherent magic with her younger sister. But no matter what Ulissa does, nothing's ever good enough for her mom. Her sister always outshines her, and luck is never on her side. That is, up until the day the most powerful woman of their kind, Fawness comes to their village. Ulissa wants nothing more than to attend the theater event where Fawness will be telling one of her famous stories. That's if she can stay out of trouble with her mom. It's a day full of unexpected ups and downs, tears and surprises, and a few heartwarming moments.
