I met my cousin Salvatore for the first time a few years ago in Sicily while visiting his mother, my cousin, Maria. After that, we kept in touch by email and social media. One day he texted me a video of an Andrea Bocelli concert that he attended. I told him I had seen Andrea in NYC at Radio City Music Hall with my friend Franceen and hoped to see him again one day. A week later, I received another text message from Salvatore with a blurry photo. I replied saying that I couldn't see the photo and asked what it was.

Once I knew where my ancestors came from, I had to know more. I met many people, traveled to Europe and finally walked the streets that my grandparents did. What an adventure!
