The pacing is tight. The emotional payoff is enormous.

Enemies-to-lovers via handwritten letters — the enemies are emergency doctors sharing a hospital department, the letters start as a complaint and become something else entirely. Jimenez is one of the most reliable technicians in the genre: she understands that the reader needs to believe the obstacle is real, and she delivers one here that genuinely is. My minor complaint is that the secondary characters occasionally threaten to take over the novel, which I suspect was intentional but still. Four very solid stars.
